The book really is a fitting end to Pekar’s literary career, as it almost serves as a recap of everything, and reads like it was written by a man who frankly didn’t know how much time he had left and wanted to make some sort of final statement on his life and his city while he still could. It’s a damn shame his end did indeed come to pass, but it feels like he got the chance to say everything he wanted to say before the curtain fell. I miss the guy like crazy, but damn, what a fitting book to end it all on.

I loved it. Harvey’s missed, but this is a fitting goodbye. The illustrations are fantastic. I’d never heard of Remmant before either.
