		<description><![CDATA[Oh yeah, I loved bagge&#039;s stuff back in the 90s, he really captured perfectly the whole essence of the &quot;slacker&quot; youth culture that I, and so many others, were a part of, and reareading that stuff is always an amazingly nostalgic trip down memory lane. The main difference between the two books is that Bagge&#039;s stuff was an exaggerated, if largely accurate, representation of that whole scene, while Matt&#039;s is genuinely autobiogrpahical. You may want to grab Matt&#039;s first collection, &quot;The Poor Bastard,&quot; first, since it covers his 20-something &quot;slacker&quot; years, and then move on to &quot;Spent,&quot; which is more like his 30s/early 40s. Both are really good books, but I must admit that &quot;The Poor Bastard&quot; is the more &quot;fun&quot; of the two.]]></description>
